將冬瓜切粒，煲成無味精瘦肉湯。煲湯的，從前是「無飯主婦」，甘願買餸、下廚一腳踢，是為了狗場內40多頭老弱多病的被遺棄狗隻。患胃癌的14歲洛威拿Wee Woo，正飲用愛心湯。還有患尿晶石的鬆獅犬Busker，在這裡得到了中藥治理。這裡是動物伴我行會社狗隻收容中心（CAF），是全港少有的老狗收容所。CAF創辦人何小姐不幸離世，義工Constance臨危受命。照顧病患老狗的開支龐大，還要兼顧無數行政工作，令她心力交瘁。收容所於8月初在fb帖文，表示何小姐離世後，捐款數目大不如前，正面臨倒閉危機。

動物伴我行會社狗隻收容中心成立於2002年，位於沙頭角公路鄰近一塊空地，7,000呎地方間隔成八個區域，讓可相處得來的狗隻住在同一區，避免發生爭執「大家都輸」，現時收留了約40多隻被遺棄的狗隻，當中大部分是老弱多病，或有性格問題，難有人主動前來領養，令CAF儼如一個老弱狗隻安老院。Constance透露，一直在外國修讀獸醫課程的何小姐，十多年前一手一腳創辦CAF，為棄狗提供一個收容所，並有專人照料，義工更會為有需要狗隻煲湯，以及餵飼中藥。
CAF 財困面臨倒閉，60 毛孩將無家可歸。
由於前負責人何小姐不幸離世，以致捐款數目大不如前，金額不足以往的三份一。CAF 至今仍能堅持下去，實有賴前線員工對毛孩不離不棄，甚至八號風球下仍不辭勞苦照顧牠們。現任負責人陳小姐，於何小姐臨终前不足一星期接下 CAF 這重任，並盡最大努力向各方好友求助，以爭取舍內貓狗的資源贊助；更著手整理所需文件作開回公司銀行户口之用。可惜，現有的捐款數目遠遠不足以維持 CAF 的日常開支，過去一年多更需要依賴何小姐的遺產作補助。但到上月，何小姐的幫助亦已用盡。面對財政困難，我們遇上如何營運下去的嚴峻考驗。

Since the passing of Miss Ho, the founder of the organization, donations have plummeted to a tragic low of only 1/3 of what it used to receive. The sole reason that CAF still stands is all due to the dedication of the front-line staff - their selfless love to the animals, risking their own safety to come in to take care of their furry friends despite extreme weathers like typhoon signal 8.
Miss Chan - the person now in charge had taken over the burden of CAF just one week prior to Miss Ho's death. Miss Chan has been striving her utmost best to find funding and support for the animals at the shelter, as well as preparing all paperwork to re-open the shelter's business bank account. Unfortunately the donations are so insufficient that it is not even able to cover the shelter's daily expenses. Throughout this year, Miss Ho's inheritance was used as a foundation but the last penny was used last month. Facing an extreme urgent financial crisis, the future of CAF is bleak.
We are now calling out to every friend of CAF to continue supporting us and let the legacy of Miss Ho - to give a place of security and love to the animals who are lacking homes, live on. A little help goes a long way, solving the rent of the land, the medical fees and food for the animals, the staff's basic salaries and the shelter's monthly expenses. Whether it is an one off donation or continuous funding, it will be an enormous boost to our shelter. On behalf of all the animals living at CAF, we thank you sincerely for your generous help.

「無飯主婦」為14歲癌病洛威拿「煲狗湯」
訪問當天，Constance正為收留所部分狗隻煲冬瓜瘦肉湯，她先到街市買材料，再回家當廚娘。她將冬瓜切粒，小心翼翼倒進湯裡，笑言自己與其他義工均是「無飯主婦」，每次到街市買餸，都是「買狗餸、煲狗湯，都係唔使落調味料」。是日的愛心靚湯，正是為患上胃癌的14歲洛威拿Wee Woo準備，而3歲鬆施狗女Busker由於患有尿晶石，義工則需以針筒替牠餵食中藥。

「寧願隻隻唔認我好過啦，證明佢哋過得開心。」

CAF其中一員「肉肉」年約12歲，因患上胃癌，一度瘦至見骨，在義工悉心照料下現已長胖。 （受訪者提供圖片）
Constance指，不少人因覺得狗隻可愛，遂到各個收容所領養，然而，飼養小動物並非易事，CAF過去曾有不少「彈回頭」的個案。為確保狗狗不再次被遺棄，Constance會先與新主人見面及進行家訪，確定狗隻的居住環境達標。儘管一切考量及格，她亦不會匆忙將狗牌轉讓，而是以寄養形式，讓狗隻和新主人相處至少半年，「如果狗隻無法適應新環境，可以隨時畀番我，我至少可以確定狗嘅安全，如果一開始已經轉狗牌，先發現佢適應唔到新環境，新主人又將狗亂咁分發畀其他人，一手兩手三手四手，隻狗就唔知去咗邊」。
狗狗獲領養過幸福生活 不認義工怕再被帶走
回想過去成功被領養的狗狗，Constance心情複雜，若成功覓得好主人，狗狗也許對義工們不再回頭。「之前rehome過一隻Poodle，佢叫mon mon，已經9歲，我見番佢，佢完全係唔識嘅態度，唔畀我抱，佢驚我攞走佢，你叫佢跟你走，佢會望主人唔係望你，真係好傷我心」，Constance指，一班義工與狗狗培培養出感情，當牠們獲得新主人悉心照料後，自然不想返回CAF，甚至對義工有戒心，「寧願隻隻唔認我好過啦，證明佢哋過得開心」。
放下設計人傲氣到處籌錢
好景不常，去年4月何小姐因癌病驟然離世，臨終前託付一班生前好友，希望有人接手CAF。「第一個月已經出事，我以為每個月有6萬donation（捐款），點知一個月得兩萬左右」，Constance慨嘆，收容所財困已成常態，加上收留的狗隻平均年齡達9至10歲，醫療費沉重，最艱難時連職員薪金也需「東借西賒」。
Constance花了半年時間辦理何小姐的遺產手續，加上賣去她的物業，以及動用帛金，收容所才能勉強支撐下去。今年8月，CAF在 facebook發出帖文，指收容所因財困面臨倒閉危機，原本任職時裝設計師的Constance已辭工，全職打理CAF，「designer點都有傲氣，串串地，真係（個性）磨平得好犀利」，惟自己已為照顧狗狗散盡積蓄，無計可施下亦需向大眾籌款。
CAF的慈善牌照仍在續牌階段，未能運用公司的銀行戶口籌款，Constance需以私人名義為CAF開設戶口收取捐款，面對外界的質疑聲音，她落得坦蕩，「你信我就幫我，唔信又想幫嘅，你唔好捐錢，捐物資」。
